West Ham and Watford are both being linked with moves for Rui Patricio, who has emerged as an alternative to Manchester City’s Joe Hart.
Football London reports that the Portuguese international could be an option for the Hammers, with Hart proving to be a difficult deal to complete.
West Ham are on the lookout for a new goalkeeper and have already seen a loan bid rejected for Hart this summer.
City are hoping to offload him permanently after funding his move to Torino last season, but the player’s wage demands are making a move difficult to negotiate.
Patricio is currently away at the Confederations Cup is likely to cost as a little as £8 million this summer, compared to the £20 million Manchester City are demanding for Hart.
Both Darren Randolph and Adrian were competing for the number one spot at West Ham last season but Slaven Bilic is hoping to add some more quality to this squad this summer.
