There’s no doubt that West Ham will be entering the transfer market for at least two new strikers in the summer given the farce that was last year’s recruitment.
Slaven Bilic says he wants players who can make a difference and the Mirror report that he’s making checks on Birmingham striker Che Adams ahead of a potential move.
Adams joined Birmingham last summer from Sheffield United after making a big impact in League One and has carried that form into the Championship, netting seven goals and contributing six assists in 40 appearances this past season.
The 20-year-old striker held his nerve on the final day of the season, scoring the only goal in a 1-0 away win at Bristol City which ensured Birmingham would not be relegated.
Able to play in either wide-forward role as well as ideally down the middle, Adams isn’t the biggest player but he’s very physical and tenacious and has pace in abundance, which is something West Ham and Bilic want to add to their side over the course of the summer.
