Pachuca eager to re-sign Enner Valencia in the summer

After his impressive 2014 World Cup campaign with Ecuador where he scored three goals, Enner Valencia completed a £12m move to West Ham and was expected to be an excellent addition to the squad.

In his first two seasons, things didn’t really work out for Valencia who only found the net on 10 occasions in 72 appearances across all competitions and a decision was made to send him to Everton on loan during the summer transfer window.

While he’s flashed his ability at Goodison, the Toffees are unlikely to activate the £12m purchasing option in his loan contract to sign him permanently, meaning he will be returning to West Ham, at least initially.

The 27-year-old is still expected to leave the club permanently in the summer and his former side Pachuca in Mexico are interested in re-signing him once the transfer window opens, according to AS Mexico.

Valencia scored 18 goals in 23 appearances for Pachuca during his one and only season at the club prior to joining the Hammers.
