West Ham poised to revive a move for Carlos Bacca

West Ham spent most of last summer chasing a deal to sign Carlos Bacca from AC Milan which at one point looked very promising but fell through at the eleventh hour.

Despite the Hammers being ready and willing to meet the Colombian’s £25.6m release clause and hand the player a wage hike, Bacca was unsure about leaving Milan for West Ham who aren’t seen as a top Premier League club.

Fast forward one year and it seems that the Serie A giants are ready to part ways with the 30-year-old striker at the right price, and reports suggest that the Hammers are willing to chance their arm at signing him once more.

It’s said that Milan are willing to sell Bacca for a €18m fee, almost half as much as the Hammers were willing to pay to secure his services last year which I’m sure is music to David Sullivan’s ears.

Under contract until the end of the 2019/20 season, Bacca realises that his time at Milan may be coming to an end, but he doesn’t want to make a lucrative move to China and is eager to continue playing in Europe next season.

Having netted 34 goals over the last two seasons for Milan, Bacca is on the radar or a number of European clubs again this summer with TMW claiming that Arsenal are interested in signing him, while Chelsea have also been linked, as have Valencia say Calciomercato.
