West Ham will go head-to-head with Bundesliga side, Bayer Leverkusen to sign PSV defender Santiago Arias this summer.

Voetbal Premieur, as reported by TalkSPORT, claim the defender is open to leaving the Dutch league this summer.

The Colombian has caught the attention of West Ham and Leverkusen, whilst he has also been linked with moves to Swansea in the past, with his current deal expiring in 2019. Arias has previously expressed his desire to play Premier League football at one point in his career.

West Ham are expected to busy in the summer transfer window after a disappointing Premier League season. The 25-year-old has been ever-present for PSV this season, with his current club trailing Ajax and Feyenoord by six and seven points respectively. Arias has been with the Dutch club since joining back in 2013 and has since made over 100 appearances for PSV and is a full Colombian international.
