West Ham are interested in signing winger Lazar Markovic from Liverpool in the summer, according to a report from Simon Jones of The Mail.
The 23-year-old is currently on loan at Hull City and was part of the side who defeated West Ham at the weekend.
Liverpool paid a huge fee, around £21million, to sign the Serbian international from Benfica back in 2014 but he’s never really been able to establish himself in the side with two managers choosing to let him go out on loan.
According to the report, the Reds will look to recoup around £16million for Markovic but it remains unclear if the Hammers will be willing to pay such a large fee.
The Winger does possess a lot of pace, something West Ham definitely lack at times in attack and Slaven Bilic would quite like to add more speed to his side, it just remains to be seen if he’s willing to spend a large fee on a player who hasn’t really been able to put together a consistent run of form in England.
