Antonio was handed improved terms last summer to reflect his performances for the club and Slaven Bilic has revealed that the club are looking at handing him a new long-term contract at the end of the season and that he’s happy to stay at the club.

“The club and the chairmen appreciate the job and work he has done for us. The club is offering him a new contact definitely this summer,” he’s quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

“He is keen to stay yes and has a long contract here. It’s not like he has one year left and the club has to panic, no.

“We appreciate what he has done and we want to make him happy and keep him for a long time, and secure him, and the club is preparing that.”

The former Nottingham Forest star has been linked with a move away from the club in recent transfer windows with Chelsea among those said to be keen in securing his services.
