West Ham will be in the market for a striker or two in the summer and are making checks on a London-based forward already.
The Mirror claim that the Hammers are interested in signing out-of-favour Arsenal striker Lucas Perez in the summer.
Perez made the move from North London last summer from Deportivo for a reported £17m but has been starved of match action making just two Premier League starts.
All told, Perez has featured in 21 games for the Gunners but has produced when called upon, scoring seven goals and recording five assists in just 950 minutes of football.
The 28-year-old can also play in a wide forward role, offering some great versatility for the Hammers who do try to play with a fluid attacking trio.
Perez is right down in the pecking order at the Emirates and will weigh up his options to leave the club in the summer and West Ham are willing to hand him a Premier League lifeline.
