West Ham have identified Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner as a possible replacement for Slaven Bilic if they decide to part company with the Croatian in the summer.
According to a report from Sam Wallace of The Telegraph, West Ham’s owners are not fully committed to Bilic at this time and after a recent run of poor results, his future at the club remains uncertain.
Next season, Bilic will enter the final year of his contract and having withdrawn their plan to give him manager an extension, West Ham have put themselves in a position where making a chance would not cost them too much in terms of compensation.

Speaking of compensation, Wagner’s contract with the Terriers contains compensation clause that allows him to leave if any club meets a specified fee.
Wagner is a close friend of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp and it’s easy to see a comparison between the duo as the Huddersfield manager has his players use a similar style of play as the Reds boss, once that would excite Hammers fans if he does end up in charge.
