Warrant issued for West Ham winger Robert Snodgrass

A warrant has been issued for West Ham winger Robert Snodgrass after he failed to turn up for his court trial.

As reported by the BBC, the Scottish international was due to attend Glasgow’s Justice of the Peace Court after charged with driving a car whilst a baby was being held by a passenger, which is, of course, against the law.

It is alleged that one of Snodgrass’ passengers was holding a baby in the back seat of the car as he had too many people in the car to fit in a car seat.

The alleged incident took place in Glasgow in April.

When asked why his client wasn’t in attendance at the court, defence lawyer Martin Black explained that Snodgrass simply didn’t think he had to be there for the trial.

The Crown prosecution requested that a warrant be put out on Snodgrass and JP Eunice Paton granted that request.
