Carlos Bacca to leave Milan after bust-up

Carlos Bacca to leave Milan after bust-up

Could West Ham be tempted into a summer move for Carlos Bacca again at the end of the season? Well, stranger things have happened.

David Gold has already outlined his intentions to bring a quality striker to West Ham next summer after failing miserably last year to do so, and a return for Bacca could happen.

West Ham had a £26.5m bid accepted by AC Milan for their star striker in the summer and the Hammers were unable to persuade him to leave the San Siro for East London.

Bacca has scored eight goals in 19 Serie A appearances this season which is in-line with his career goals to game ratio, but Calciomercato are reporting that the 30-year-old could be on his way out of the club following a bust-up with the coaching staff.

PSG remain interested in Bacca managed by Unai Emery, who has the Colombian at Sevilla. Speaking of Sevilla, they’re also keen on him whilst there is also interest from China.

Angry at being subbed off again, Bacca berated manager Vincenzo Montella on the sideline asking “why always me?” and the Milan boss had this to say on the matter:

These decisions are mine to make, he needs to do his job and sometimes players are angry at themselves. We expect more from him.

Bacca has played the full 90 minutes just three times this season and has only scored once from open play since September which hasn’t pleased the manager of late, saying players like him “aren’t likeable when they don’t score”.

If Milan are willing to part ways with Bacca in the summer, don’t be surprised to see West Ham interested once again.
