West Ham have moved one step closer to securing their third signing of the January transfer window.
Twitter: Robert Snodgrass to West Ham getting very close. He’s had his medical (@SkyKaveh)
According to Kaveh Solhekol of Sky Sports, Hull winger Robert Snodgrass has completed a medical with West Ham ahead of a potential move.
The Hammers had a bid accepted by Hull yesterday for Snodgrass worth a reported £7.5m, but the deal could rise to as much as £10m with add-ons.
West Ham are resigned to the fact that they will have to go on without Dimitri Payet as the French winger edges close on a sensational return to former club Marseille just 18 months after moving to East London.
Eager to find a replacement, the Hammers appear to have locked in on Snodgrass to be that man, beating Burnley and Middlesbrough to his signature.
Payet’s departure would help offset the cost of signing the 29-year-old, while also potentially funding a move for Brentford’s Scott Hogan.
