West Ham need to bring in another striker this month following the departure of Simone Zaza after his season-long loan deal from Juventus was (rightfully) terminated earlier in the transfer window.

Saido Berahino was a player the Hammers reportedly had an eye on, according to Ed Aarons of the Guardian, but the former England international has had a bid accepted for him by West Brom from Stoke this week.
The 23-year-old forward scored 20 goals in the 2014/15 season but has struggled for form and fitness since, not helped by the fact he’s actively tried to a seek a transfer away from the Hawthorns for the last 18 months.

He’s rejected three new contracts with the Baggies and now Tony Pulis is finally ready to let him leave the club in a deal which could be worth £15m, despite late interest from West Ham and Watford.
West Ham have also cooled their interest in Brentford striker Scott Hogan despite agreeing upon an initial transfer fee of £9m. There is currently some distance between what Brentford want in additional add-ons and what West Ham are willing to offer.
