Burnley outbid West Ham in chase for Snodgrass

Burnley have outbid West Ham United by making a £7.5million offer for Hull City’s Robert Snodgrass.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, the Clarets have lodged the bid for the Scotsman as they look to bolster their attacking quality for the second part of the season.

Snodgrass has been in superb form for the Tigers this season, playing a part in almost every goal they have scored and ranking as their highest goal scorer for the campaign.

West Ham have had three bids for the Scottish international turned down so far this month, the latest being worth a reported £6million.

Hull, having already accepted an offer of £10million from West Brom for Jake Livermore, will be in no rush to sell Snodgrass as they don’t need the money.

Selling their main man could make them a bit of money in the short-term but it’d dramatically reduce their chances of staying up. Time will tell if there is a price that they will sell at and if West Ham are prepared to meet it.
