West Ham boosted in their chase of Andrea Ranocchia

West Ham have been handed a transfer boost this week after Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio hinted that Andrea Ranocchia could be heading towards the exit door at Inter Milan.

The Hammers were linked with a move for the 28-year-old centre-back earlier this month to solve their defensive issues but have yet to make an official bid for him.

Aulisio has confirmed that Ranocchia does have potential suitors in the Premier League and that there some possibilities for him to explore a transfer.

“If he want to find more space, we will find a solution together,” Ausilio is quoted as saying by the London Evening Standard.

“He has many admirers in the Premier League. There are some possibilities.”

It’s understood that Ranocchia would like to stay in Serie A if he’s forced to leave Inter this month with Bologna said to be interested, but Premier League clubs can undoubtedly offer a better financial package for both club and player these days.

Head coach Stefano Piolo has already given the green light for the Italy international to leave the club this month and West Ham could make an offer in the next fortnight.
