West Ham consider renewed bid for Martin Braithwaite

West Ham consider renewed bid for Martin Braithwaite

Finding a striker this month is West Ham’s number one priority you can safely say.

Having watched Simone Zaza leave the club following a dismal loan spell from Juventus, the Hammers are short in attackers with just Andy Carroll, Ashley Fletcher and Jonathan Calleri the only fit options in the squad currently.

According to Sky Sports, Slaven Bilic is considering making a renewed bid to sign Toulouse striker Martin Braithwaite this month but he does face competition from a number of European clubs.

West Ham saw an £8.5m bid rejected for the Danish forward last month with the Ligue 1 side standing firm on their £10m valuation of their star striker.

Braithwaite has eight goals in 18 appearances this season after assuming the role of the central striker following the departure of Wissam Ben Yedder to Sevilla in the summer.

Brentford’s Scott Hogan is also on West Ham’s radar but the West London club are refusing to budge on their £15m price tag for the 24-year-old.
