West Ham and Sunderland target move for Leeds United star

Both West Ham United and Sunderland are interested in Leeds United striker Chris Wood, as per a report from ESPN FC.

Understandably, the Championship club are determined to keep hold of their star man as they look to mount a serious promotion push and as such, they’ve apparently put a £15million price tag on his head to ward off interested parties.

According to the ESPN FC report, the Hammers and the Black Cats have been impressed by Wood this season and it’s clear to see why.

He’s found the back of the net 17 times in 29 games and has been the catalyst to Leeds’ surge up the table.

West Ham look desperate to sign another striker but have had no luck getting one in as of yet. Their interest in Jermain Defoe has seemingly cooled but a move Scott Hogan still looks on the cards.

If a deal for the Brentford man can’t be negotiated, the Hammers might turn their attention to Wood, but they’ll know that they can’t get him on the cheap.
