West Ham and Sunderland are interested in signing Phil Jagielka, who is set to discuss his future at Everton.
According to the Daily Mail, Jagielka is set for yet more limited game time at Goodison Park with Ronald Koeman looking to bring the average age of his squad down.
Koeman has been given the job to re-develop the Everton squad and Jagielka, who has been at the club since 2007, looks like he’ll be one to suffer as a result.
The Toffees are thought to be in the market for a defender and if they do manage to sign one this month, that could be what pushes Jagielka firmly out of the door at Goodison Park.
Sunderland boss David Moyes has had a long-standing interest in signing the former England international. Moyes knows the player well from his time at Everton.
West Ham are also in the market for a central defender after lacking depth in defence this season.
