As it often is around this time of year, West Ham are linked with every player under the sun and this year it is no different.
Speaking to the media this morning ahead of West Ham’s trip to the King Power Stadium on Saturday to face Leicester City, Slaven Bilic addressed some of the recent transfer speculation.
It had been claimed that Juventus were willing to send former Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra out on loan for the rest of the season and that West Ham were among clubs said to be keen on a deal.
However, Bilic has told reporters this morning that these claims are wide of the mark and that the Hammers have more than enough depth at left-back with Aaron Cresswell and Arthur Masuaku.
“We are the club that is linked with the most players in Europe!” he told reporters. “Every player that is available, it is always West Ham.
“Ninety-five per cent of that is not true, definitely not true with Evra. OK, he is a great player, but at that position we are well-covered.”
One position where West Ham are looking to strengthen is right-back with Carl Jenkinson again on the shortlist of possible signings but the Hammers face competition from Crystal Palace for the Arsenal man.
