As part of their never-ending search for a new striker, West Ham have turned to Serie A and Fiorentina’s Nikola Kalinic.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Hammers along with Championship side Aston Villa are eager to sign the former Blackburn striker when the January transfer window opens up.
The interest in Kalinic doesn’t end in England as Tianjin Quanjian, a Chinese Super League side managed by former Italian international Fabio Cannavaro are also interest in bringing him in.
Since moving to Serie A and Fiorentina in 2015, Kalinic has scored 25 goals in 65 games, a great record in one of Europe’s top five leagues which is the source of all interest in him.
Fiorentina are not willing to let him go and have put a €50m release clause in his contract which needs to be met in full before they will allow the player to leave the club.
Tianjin had a €40m offer rejected recently.
