West Ham ask ‘big five’ if they have any players they are willing to loan out

West Ham United have contacted Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United asking if they have any centre-backs, full-backs or strikers that they’d be willing to loan out in January, according to a report by Matt Law of The Telegraph.

The Hammers reportedly made specific enquiries about the availability of Michy Batshuayi, Daniel Sturridge, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial but also asked for the names of any players who the ‘big five’ would be willing to loan out when the transfer window opens.

The enuries about the likes of Batshuayi, Sturridge, Rashford and Martial were apparently made “more in hope than expectation” but there could be a few fringe players who are available for loan if West Ham decide they want them.

Branislav Ivanovic, Mamadou Sakho, Mathieu Debuchy, Chris Smalling and former West Ham loanee Carl Jenkinson are all thought to be available for loans if deals over wages can be completed, although there is no indication at this time if Slaven Bilic would want any of these players.
