West Ham eye January move for Asmir Begovic

West Ham manager wants to bring in Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic on a short-term loan deal in January, according to a report from Sami Mokbel in The Daily Mail.

Bilic recently dropped Spanish goalkeeper Adrian after a string of below par performances and replaced him with Darren Randolph.

However, the Hammers boss has apparently been less than impressed with the performances of the Irishman too and as such, he is reported to be looking for a new shot-stopper in January.

Begovic currently finds himself sitting on Chelsea’s bench as backup to Thibaut Courtois and his chances to play again this season rest upon the Belgian getting injured or suspended.

Begovic proved during his time as Stoke City that he is a more than capable Premier League starter so he might fancy a move.

However, Antonio Conte will be reluctant to let the Bosnian international leave unless he can somehow find an adequate replacement for his backup ‘keeper.
