Jonathan Calleri’s season-long loan spell at West Ham could come to an abrupt end in January.
According to TYC Sports, Sevilla are ready to reignite their interest in the striker and Jorge Sampaoli wants to bring him to the club in January.
The Hammers signed the highly-rated Argentine striker on a years loan from Uruguayan side Deportivo Maldonado after he hit 16 goals in 31 appearances whilst on loan with Sao Paulo earlier in 2016.

Calleri was thrust into the first-team early, starting both Europa League play-off legs against Astra Giurgiu and was subbed off shortly after the hour mark in both games having not made much of an impact.
His rather ineffective outings continued in the Premier League. Yet to start a domestic league game for the Hammers, the 23-year-old has played just 129 minutes of Premier League football spread across six substitute appearances this term without scoring.
Many fans believe Calleri is not suited to English football and should be sent packing back to South America and they might have a point. When Andy Carroll returns, him alongside Andre Ayew, Simone Zaza, Diafra Sakho and Ashley Fletcher could make Calleri’s presence in the squad obsolete and redundant.

West Ham fended off reported interest from Inter Milan and Sevilla to land Calleri on loan, but it appears that the La Liga side are ready to make an approach for Calleri should the Hammers be willing to terminate his loan contract early.
The report states that West Ham still believe that Calleri has the potential to have a real breakout season in East London and are unwilling to cut ties just yet, but that hasn’t stopped Sevilla asking the question.
Should the Hammers have better luck in January signing a striker than they did in the summer, don’t be shocked to see it’s Calleri who’s on the chopping block.
