One of Burke and Oxford will leave on loan, says Bilic

Slaven Bilic has confirmed this morning that one of Reece Burke or Reece Oxford will leave the club on loan before next Wednesday’s transfer deadline.

Burke started for West Ham last night in the 1-0 home defeat to Astra Giurgiu in the Europa League play-off and was impressive playing in an unnatural position of left-back, showcasing his strong versatility and what he offers the squad.

Oxford meanwhile made the bench but had started all three of the club;s previous Europa League games before last night at centre-back but can operate in midfield.

Twitter: BILIC: “Probably one or two of the young players will go out on loan, now we are out of Europe. Samuelsen and Cullen have already gone.” (@WestHamUtd)

Now West Ham are out of Europe, Bilic wants to send one of them out on loan to play regular football they would’ve got in the Europa League which is no longer an option.
