According to the Mirror, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is planning a late-window swoop for Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic, who has also been linked with West Ham, Arsenal and Barcelona.
Chelsea have admitted defeat in their pursuit of Everton’s Romelu Lukaku and are now considering other options, one of which is Mandzukic who has been a target for the Hammers this summer.
Mandzukic only joined Juventus last summer in a £16.1m deal from Atletico Madrid, and scored 13 goals in 36 appearances, but following the £75m arrival of Gonzalo Higuain in Turin, Mandzukic’s place in the squad has come into question.

Gazzetta dello Sport also claim that Arsenal are interested in Mandzukic this summer as they too look to add another striker to their ranks ahead of the new season.
It’s believed that Mandzukic can leave Juventus this summer if a bid worth £17m comes in for him which is well within the price-range of every club linked.
Chelsea have already beaten the Hammers to one striker this summer in Michy Batshuayi and Slaven Bilic and Co. are hopeful that doesn’t happen again.
