Arsenal join West Ham in Yacine Brahimi pursuit

Arsenal are weighing up a move for Porto attacker Yacine Brahimi this summer, who has also been linked with West Ham, Chelsea, Liverpool and Everton.

According to the Mirror, the Gunners are considering swooping for Brahimi this summer after missing out on his fellow countryman Riyad Mahrez who has penned a new long-term deal with Leicester City.

The Algerian attacking midfielder has been made available for tranfer this summer and will be allowed to leave the club along with young defender Bruno Martins-Indi.

Slaven Bilic is interested in adding attacking talent to his squad with both Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia linked with summer exits, with Brahimi one of the names he is believed to be interested in.

Porto are looking for €30m to sell Brahimi this summer who has also been linked with Chelsea. West Ham and Everton were linked with a move earlier this week while Liverpool have now reignited their earlier summer interest.

With proven quality at both club and international level, the Hammers could do a lot worse than signing Brahimi this summer. He would be a considerable upgrade in the wide areas following the departures of Victor Moses and Emmanuel Emenike who returned to their parent clubs following unsuccessful loan spells last season.
