According to reports in France, West Ham have failed in their latest attempt to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.
Twitter: L’Equipe confirm that West Ham failed with a bid of ‘around €50m’ for Lacazette because Lyon want to keep him & the player wants CL football (@mattspiro)
Lyon recently rejected a bid of around £29million from Arsenal and they’ve been true to their word about wanting to keep him once again by turning down West Ham’s latest offer.

Jason Burt of the Daily Telegraph, thinks that Lyon would sell Lacazette for around £60million, but the player is only interested in moving to a side which is playing in the Champions League.
Whilst it will be great for West Ham fans to see that their club are actively trying to sign one of Europe’s hottest strikers, they might feel that they’d rather see them targeting players who are likely to make a move to the Olympic Stadium, rather than making hopeful bids for players who have made it clear that they want to be playing in Europe’s biggest club competition.
