West Ham make move for Barcelona target Lucas Perez

West Ham are ready to go head-to-head with Barcelona, Villareal, Valencia and Napoli for the signature of Deportivo La Coruna striker, Lucas Perez.

As reported by Sport, via Sport Witness, the striker has been largely linked with a move to the Catalan side, but the player is tired of waiting for the club to make their move.

After not receiving a call from the La Liga champions, Perez believes that they have looked elsewhere for a back-up striker to Luis Suarez. The 27-year-old had delayed contract talks with Deportivo due to Barcelona’s interest, which could allow West Ham to make their move.

West Ham, alongside the aforementioned clubs are just one side to make proposals to the La Liga outfit, who are demanding €14million (£11.75million) for the player.

Deportivo are desperate to keep hold of the striker and are reportedly ready to offer him a ‘contract for life’ in a bid to keep him at the club.
