Tottenham agree deal for West Ham target Nkoudou

West Ham appear to have lost out to Tottenham in the race to sign highly-rated Marseille winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou, according to the Guardian.

The 21-year-old is a natural left-winger, capable of playing on the right, and played a key role for Marseille last season, scoring ten goals and assisting in five more across 41 appearances in all competitions for the French side.

N’Koudou only arrived at the Stade Velodrome last summer, in a €1.5million move from Nantes, and is under contract until June 2020.

Talks were opened with Marseille regarding the winger earlier this summer during talks to sign striker Michy Batshuayi, who rejected both West Ham and Tottenham to sign for Chelsea.

Tottenham have now agreed a £10.9m deal with the Ligue 1 side for the France U21 international’s transfer, with the move set to be completed in the coming days.

Following the arrivals of Gokhan Tore and Sofiane Feghouli in East London, missing out on N’Koudou won’t see like that big of a miss for the Hammers.
