According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, via Sport Witness, West Ham are waiting to sign a new striker before sanctioning Enner Valencia’s exit from the club.
The report says that West Ham are keen to acquire a new centre forward this summer before allowing Valencia to depart the club. This is likely to be to make sure that they have enough depth in that area going into the new season.

Valencia has agreed personal terms with Serie A side Lazio, thought to be 2m Euros-per-season. Lazio have also submitted a 4m Euros loan offer, with a further 8m Euros included in the deal if they want to sign Valencia permanently.
However, despite the deal being close to completion, West Ham are not letting the deal go through until they have brought in their own replacement first.
West Ham are yet to sign a striker this summer, but are actively searching for a new number nine.
