Lazio and West Ham meet regarding Enner Valencia

With AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca are reported target for West Ham, respected Sky Italia Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that the Hammers met with Serie A side Lazio, to hold talks regarding an offer for striker Enner Valencia.

Valencia is of interest to the Italian club, who are looking to seal a deal for the striker, beginning with a loan deal with the option of making his stay in Italy permanent.

The short-term stay could cost Lazio £2m, and the permanent deal coming with a £13m price tag.

With it looking like the East London side have lost out on reported target Christian Benteke, the Hammers would need to act fast to bring in a striker, before allowing Valencia to depart the Olympic Stadium ahead of the new domestic season.

The striker, who was on Copa America duty this summer with Ecuador, has featured 51 times for West Ham, netting eight times since his 2014 switch from Pachuca.

Discussions between the two parties regarding a move are still ongoing given the uncertainty of Liverpool striker Benteke’s future, but there is still a lot of work to be done before any move for Valencia can go ahead.
