Jack Sullivan confirms imminent West Ham signing

Jack Sullivan has taken to twitter this afternoon and confirmed that West Ham expect to sign a new player within the next three days.

The news comes shortly after the co-owners son revealed that long-time Hammer James Tomkins has completed his move to Crystal Palace, with the fee rumoured to be around £12.5m.

Twitter: Tomkins has left the club, I personally wish him all the best and am sure he will do a good job at @CPFC ! (@jsullivanwhu)

West Ham have been linked with a number of players in recent times, and it’s anyone’s guess who the mystery player could be.

The Hammers are believed to have agreed a four-year contract with former Manchester United striker Ashley Fletcher. The England U20 international is currently a free agent after rejecting a contract extension with the Red Devils, but it also wanted by Wolves and Leeds.

Another player on our radar is Crystal Palace’s Yannick Bolasie. The 27-year-old winger is a rumoured target of West Ham’s having come up in negotiations with Palace regarding the sale of Tomkins.

However, Sullivan seemed to put an end to those claims with the subtle hint of a plane emoji in his tweet. When asked about it being Bolasie, he seemingly rejected those claims with the plane suggesting it’s an overseas player.

Twitter: @westhamtransfer why do you think I did the plane ? (@jsullivanwhu)

The name on everyone’s lips is Besiktas winger Gokhan Tore. The former Chelsea academy star is a favourite of Slaven Bilic’s and it’s been well-publicised that the Hammers and Besiktas are locked in negotiations for his transfer.

The Boleyn Insider revealed yesterday that the club hope to make a major signing by the end of the week, and the £12m acquisition of Tore is believed to be the move the club will make.
