West Ham are one of five clubs to have offers in for Barcelona defender Thomas Vermaelen this summer.
Barcelona have welcomed Lyon and France centre-back Samuel Umtiti to the Nou Camp after a big-money transfer during Euro 2016, which will spell the end of Vermaelen’s two-year stint in La Liga.
The Belgian international joined the La Liga champions in the summer of 2014 but injuries have limited him to just 11 appearances for Barcelona who are now willing to let him walk for as little as €10m.
According to Digisport, Inter Milan and Roma are keen on signing the former Arsenal defender and both Serie A clubs are willing to pay the set asking price.

Spanish source Mundo Deportivo also believe Vermaelen will leave the Nou Camp in the coming weeks and that the defender has offers from West Ham, Liverpool, Inter Milan, Napoli and Besiktas.
The 30-year-old can play at the heart of the back four as well as at left-back but his injury history is putting off potential suitors.
West Ham are believed to be allowing James Tomkins to complete a move to London rivals Crystal Palace for £12.5m this week which would potentially open up a spot in the squad for another defender. However, Reece Burke will likely stake his claim for that role in the first-team squad following an impressive loan spell with Bradford last term.
