West Ham lead race for Yannick Bolasie

There are a number of clubs interested in signing the Congolese winger, with West Ham reportedly at the top of the pile.

Bolasie arrived at Selhurst Park four years ago now, earning promotion in the process to the Premier League and becoming the names on everybody’s lips with his tricky dribbling and exceptional skills on the right wing.

He completed a whopping 75 take-ons last year which is remarkable given Crystal Palace’s dip in form last season, and his performances certainly haven’t gone unnoticed. It is worth noting that Bolasie, in a total of 89 appearances in four years for Crystal Palace he has scored 10 premier league goals and registered 14 assists, quite an interesting statistic for a player that so many clubs are after.

With Tottenham, Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton all interested in making the £20mbid that would lure him away, it is believed that Bolasie, already settled in London, would prefer a move that would keep him in the capital. We would have to be ready to compete in a bidding war with Tottenham and it would certainly test the chairmen’s resolve, we would be fighting with our rivals that can offer Champions League football next year.

West Ham are very close in attaining the signature of Gokhan Tore, who plays in the same position as Bolasie, so it remains to be seen whether or not an actual bid will be made. Gokhan Tore in the matter of 91 games has scored 13 goals and grabbed 20 assists over the course of four years, and is still only 24 years old.
