Besiktas general secretary Ahmed Ürkmezgil has issued a clear hands-off warning to West Ham, stating Atiba Hutchinson and Oğuzhan Özyakup are not for sale.
According to Turkish source Sondakika, Ürkmezgil was speaking live on Radyospor today and stated Atiba and Oğuzhan will not be part of the deal that sees Gokhan Tore move to East London.
Oguzhan and Atiba are not considered for sale. (They) will not transfer.
This will be a considerable blow to Slaven Bilic who publicly declared his interest in signing Hutchinson last week, admitting: “(We are) only (interested in) Gokhan Tore and Atiba (Hutchinson), not more Beşiktaş players there. If you ask them, yes, I am definitely interested in them.”
Bilic went on to hint that there may be interested in other Besiktas players.
Of course, I’m mostly interested in those players (Hutchinson & Tore). A few Besiktas players are intriguing. I know them well.
Just days after his comments to Lig TV, Turkish outlet Fanatik claimed Oğuzhan Özyakup was a priority target for West Ham. However, any chance of either day occurring now appears slim.
The 23-year-old, who scored nine and assisted seven last season, has also attracted attention from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund and Italian outfit Napoli.
