West Ham target Sidibe expecting progress on move soon

Reported West Ham, PSG and Monaco target, Lille defender Djibril Sidibe, has revealed that he is expecting progress soon on a possible move.

According to L’Equipe, quoted by Sport Witness, the former France U21 international stated that there was a ‘high chance’ he will leave Lille this summer, but it depends on the buying club’s project in place.

I’m open to anything, but we will need to think about the Champions League, my game time, balance with family and the financial aspect.

It’s believed that the Ligue side are holding out for a fee in the region of €17-18m for the impressive 23-year-old who is primarily a right-back but played most of last season on the left side.

He impressed France manager Didier Dechamps who called him up to their preliminary squad for Euro 2016 but he failed to make the final 23-man squad and was named as a reserve in case of injury.

West Ham are struggling for right-back options this summer having been turned down by free-agent Gregory van der Wiel. With Sam Byram being the only natural right-back we have, Slaven Bilic is keen to bring in another before the start of the season..

The Hammers have already made a strong offer to Sidibe this summer in the form of a huge pay-rise to around £60,000-a-week to join the East London club, but the likes of PSG and Monaco could easily match those figures.
