West Ham are leading the race to sign winger Sofiane Feghouli from Valencia, according to a report from ESPN.
The 26-year-old is set to become a free agent as his deal with the La Liga side expires and he has his heart set on a move to the Premier League.
Both Liverpool and Manchester United were linked with moves for the Algerian international but it appears that he close to joining the Hammers as they prepare for an exciting new chapter in the club’s history.
West Ham will move to the Olympic Stadium next season and they will be hoping to secure a place in the Europa League group stages too and it looks like Slaven Bilic knows that he needs to add more quality to his side.
Victor Moses’ loan move is unlikely to be made permanent so there is space in the squad for a winger and Feghouli fits the bill perfectly, especially on a free transfer.
The player reportedly has offers from a number of European clubs but wants to play in England.
