Former West Ham United and England goalkeeper David James took to social media to bemoan the fact that current Hammers skipper Mark Noble was once again overlooked for international recognition by Roy Hodgson.
Noble had a great season in the heart of West Ham’s midfield and despite being 29-years-old and yet to make his debut, James thinks that he should have been selected ahead of Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere, who has only recently returned from another long injury lay-off.
Twitter: Rashford over Carroll, I can understand. Wilshere over Noble, I don’t understand. If it’s an age issue, Heaton is uncapped and 30! (@jamosfoundation)

Some West Ham fans were also angry that striker Andy Carroll was not included in the squad whilst Manchester United youngster Marcus Rashford was, but James actually said that he understands why Hodgson made that decision.
Michail Antonio and Aaron Cresswell were also tipped by some to be in the reckoning for a call-up, but neither of those two got the nod either.
