Four Findings: West Ham 1-4 Swansea City

In the aftermath of the disastrous game against Swansea City, let’s look back at four findings we learned.

Our history against the Swans looked hopeful, with Andy Carroll having tormented their defence in previous clashes.

Unfortunately, West Ham didn’t do so on Saturday.

Swansea opened the scoring with a goal from Wayne Routledge, a born Londoner, followed by a tap in for Andre Ayew, who supposedly is a target for the Hammers this summer.

Quickly after the start of the second half, Sung-Yeung Ki scored another goal to make it 0-3 for the Swans. When all hope was gone, and after the late subs by Slaven Bilic (too late you could argue), Diafra Sakho smashed a ball in from a corner by Dimitri Payet, to much confusion, the ball went in by the foot of Stephen Kingsley. Not too long after, Bafetimbi Gomis and Ayew countered from a West Ham corner to seal the game and make it 1-4.

But there was more to pick up from the game.

Let’s have a look:

matchday.
