West Ham are tracking the progress of impressive KV Oostende defender Bruno Godeau.
According to Belgian source Voetball Nieuws , the Hammers sent scouts to watch the former Belgian U21 international in action against Zlute Waregem and were impressed with his display.
The 23-year-old former Anderlecht academy star only joined Oostende in January, but should the Hammers make a strong offer it’s hard to see it turned down.

Godeau has spent his entire playing career in Belgium and has had spells with KVC Westerlo and Zlute Waregem before joining Oostende. A natural centre-half by trade, he can also fill in at left-back when called upon.
West Ham have struggled with injuries to all four first-team centre-backs over the course of the seasons, but when fit, Winston Reid, Angelo Ogbonna, James Tomkins and James Collins would be one of the better groups of central defenders in the Premier League and have been pivotal to the Hammers’ rise up the table.

Not to mention the likes of Reece Burke and Reece Oxford the two promising academy lads who have caught the eye this season when given a chance. Burke has spent the majority of the season on-loan at Bradford where he picked up six awards at their end of season awards ceremony, including their Player of the Season. Both would hope to play a bigger role in the first-team next season.
