West Ham are eyeing a £2m move for former Tottenham academy ace and current Bournemouth defender Adam Smith.
HITC are reporting that the Hammers are keen to recruit some competition at right-back next season, and want Smith to be part of that battle.
Slaven Bilic has been forced to use Michail Antonio as a make-shift right-back in recent weeks due to injuries & suspensions to James Tomkins and Sam Byram respectively.

Carl Jenkinson started this season as the incumbent first-choice right-back having rejoined the club for a second season-long loan from Arsenal, but his season was cut short in January after he tore his ACL against Manchester City and was subsequently sent back to his parent club.
Throughout the season, the Hammers had intermittently used James Tomkins at right-back. A centre-half by trade, Tomkins performed admirably on the right but his long-term future will always be at the heart of the defence.

Sam Byram was brought in from Leeds during the January transfer window, and the former England U21 international was thrown into the mix when Jenkinson got injured against Manchester City and impressed, but suspensions and injuries since have halted his progress.
Smith, a former England U21 international himself, has caught the eye for Bournemouth this season, making 31 appearances and scoring twice during their maiden Premier League campaign.

West Ham also have an impressive youngster, Reece Burke, they could use at right-back next season. The England youth international made several starts at the position during their Europa League qualifiers and has spent the season on loan at Bradford City, where he starred and earned an incredible six end of season awards, including their Player of the Season.
