Chelsea’s backup goalkeeper Asmir Begovic has said that he would love to see West Ham United superstar Dimitri Payet at Stamford Bridge next season.
Payet has been in sensational form for the Hammers this season and it’s hardly shocking to hear that players from other clubs would rather be lining up alongside him than playing against him.
The Frenchman has scored 12 goals in all competitions so far this season and has added the same number of assists as he’s helped West Ham make a serious push for Champions League football next year.
When asked which player he’d like Chelsea to sign this summer, as reported by the Express , Begovic said:
I would go for Dimitri Payet at West Ham. He’s a fantastic player, a fantastic talent, he’s someone who I’d like to sign, possibly.
If Chelsea do decide to pursue a move for Payet, they’d do so knowing that a transfer fee would have to be astronomical to get West Ham to even consider accepting it and even then, the Hammers are unlikely to get their star player leave.
