West Ham have a big problem with target striker

West Ham target Michy Batshuayi wants to stay in France, according to the Express.

The 22-year-old currently plays for Marseille in Ligue 1 and is the second top goal scorer in the league only behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Belgian has scored 17 goals so far this campaign.

With the Belgian striker excelling, the interest from the world’s best league has increased. Batshuayi is wanted by the likes of West Ham and Tottenham. Although Tottenham are higher in the league and are looking to secure a Champions League spot, first team football may not be as regular where as at West Ham, Batshuayi would get straight into the team in the new iconic Olympic Stadium.

Although Batshuayi recently stated that he had fallen out with the club he recently stated this:

I have fallen in love with this club, I can never leave without making a lasting impression.

This is a massive blow to both London sides and it now seems as though the transfer of Batshuayi is a no go.

The search for a West Ham striker continues.
