West Ham closing in on deals for Lanzini and Kouyate

The Hammers have approached Cheikhou Kouyate and Manuel Lanzini about new contracts, as reported by the Evening Standard .

Kouyate is officially a West Ham player as he arrived from Anderlecht in 2014 but Lanzini isn’t yet.

Manuel Lanzini is currently on loan from Saudi Arabian side Al Jazira Club. The Argentine has shone since playing in the Premier League and there has been interest from some big teams like Liverpool and Arsenal. However, West Ham already have an option to buy the little magician ahead of anyone else and with the Hammers moving to the Olympic Stadium, it is going to take a lot of persuasion to make him leave.

The fee is said to be around £8 million which would be another great bit of business from the West Ham owners.

Lanzini has had a massive influence so far for West Ham and has helped the East London based side push for European qualification.
