West Ham have joined Tottenham and a host of other Premier League clubs in the chase for Belgian striker Laurent Depoitre, claim the Guardian.
The 27-year-old is having a great season in the Belgian Pro League for Gent, scoring eleven goals in twenty-four appearances in the country’s top division. He has also appeared in this season’s Champions League for his team, with Gent beating off Lyon and Gary Neville’s Valencia for a place in the last sixteen of the Competition.
He is also capped for the Belgian national team. He scored on his full debut for the red devils against international minnows Andorra, and may be in contention for a place in the Belgian Euro 2016 team.
West Ham join a host of other clubs such as Leicester, Southampton, Everton, Palace and West Bromwich Albion in the race for the striker, who may be available for a reduced fee as his contract expires in 16 months time.
