Another setback for Andy Carroll

West Ham striker Andy Carroll has picked up another injury. The Englishman has been very unlucky since joining the Hammers and has suffered many injuries. He has only played 31 Premier League matches in 32 months for the East London based side.

Andy Carroll’s most recent injury was picked up whilst playing in the recent Premier League game against Norwich. Carroll only played 28 minutes but was well involved and managed to pick up a groin injury.

The Englishman is therefore not in the squad for West Ham’s FA cup game against Blackburn. With Enner Valencia also possibly injured Nigerian striker Emmanuel Emenike may be handed his first start for the club.

Luckily for West Ham, Slaven Bilic only believes this injury will last a matter of weeks

It’s not a big injury, maybe a couple of weeks.

It happens to him a lot, he can’t get a proper routine of games. We are gutted, and he is gutted, at the situation.

It isn’t all doom and gloom for the Hammers. Manuel Lanzini and Cheikhou Kouyate are back in the squad and are available for selection and Senegalese international Diafra Sakho will start training this week.
