Jelavic completes Beijing move

According to London24 , West Ham outcast Nikica Jelavic has been photographed in Beijing, where he is expected to be completing a £4m move to second division side Beijing Ren He.

Jelavic signed for West Ham from Hull in summer 2015, however, his career in London has failed to take off, making only 15 appearances. Jelavic has scored two goals for the Hammers but now looks to be the next in a line of notable players moving to China with the promise of high wages.

Beijing Ren He are beginning their first season playing in the Jia league, and will hope that a prolific player such as Nikica Jelavic can help them to remain in the league. Jelavic is the first notable signing for their side and becomes one of only three foreign players in the squad.

Jelavic becomes the third player to leave West Ham in this window, with Morgan Amalfitano having joined Lille on a free transfer, and Emmanuel Onariase having left for Brentford.
