Winger leaves West Ham on permanent basis

Norwich City have posted a message on their official club website which confirms that the expected signing of winger Matt Jarvis from West Ham has now been completed.

There had been speculation recently that Norwich had agreed a £2.5m fee for the England international and that has now been confirmed with this deal that will see Jarvis join the club on a permanent basis from January 2nd.

Jarvis first joined Norwich in the closing minutes of the summer’s transfer deadline day when he signed on a season-long loan having fell out of favour with the new Hammers boss Slaven Bilic.

The 29-year-old, who was capped once for his country, is currently out with a knee injury but has been very impressive in the games that he has featured in. Jarvis has netted twice this season for Norwich; in a 3-0 win over West Brom and a 3-1 win over Bournemouth.
