According to the Mirror, West Ham are plotting a move for Besiktas winger Gokhan Tore. Slaven Bilic is a big fan of the 23 year-old having worked with him recently at Turkish side Besiktas.
There have been rumours around Tore and West Ham ever since Bilic joined the Hammers last summer however there hasn’t been anything official from either club, just rumours.
The former Chelsea youth player has scored five goals in 39 appearances for Besiktas. He is gaining many admirers from around Europe and many clubs could be after him in January.
West Ham didn’t get Tore in the summer and instead they signed Michail Antonio for £7m. The Englishman had an outstanding campaign last year with Nottingham forest and moved to East London in the hope of some top flight football. However it hasn’t gone to plan for him. Antonio is yet to start for West Ham and he’s only made appearances from the bench twice. Even with West Ham’s current injury problems with the absence of Dimiti Payet and Enner Valencia, Antonio is still not being played.
If the deal with Tore develops Antonio might be looking for an escape route out of London and Derby may look to renew their interest.
