West Ham join Everton in the race for £15m striker

The Daily Star have claimed that Everton, Aston Villa, and West Ham United are tracking Championship top goalscorer Andre Gray. Gray was snapped up by Burnley from Brentford last summer apparently beating West Ham to his signing. Burnley also beat Hull and Bristol City to secure his services for around £6m.

However now Gray has scored 9 goals in 12 games Burnley have raised his value to a figure around £15m. Another reason for his high price tag is that he is an Englishman with great potential. He has represented England C team however he wants a chance in the first team.

Although these three premier league clubs are tracking the striker, it seems unlikely that a deal will be confirmed in January. Players can be registered with three clubs in one season, however, FIFA rules state they can only play for two. Andre Gray played two games for Brentwood in August meaning that if he did sign in January he wouldn’t be allowed any game time. Maybe a possible half season loan could come into effect. If one of these teams signs the 24-year-old he may be instantly loaned back to Burnley
